Amish Bread with a Twist


I've been making Amish bread for about 3 years and I'm not kidding. But it does get old after a while and I'm alwasy looking for a way to change it up a bit. We usually don't eat it all so I freeze it and give it away as a thank you or a get well soon pick me up. I know, Awwwww how sweet. That's me just oozing with kindness. So anyways, here is the recipe for the starter and here is the recipe for the regular bread. And to change it up a bit chop up one apple and throw in 3/4 cup of walnut. It was amazing! Just don't forget to add a scoop of ice cream. See I'm not kidding when I say that I have an addiction problem!
