Santa's Secret!

I bought a few more things a while ago but I'm not sure who they are going to yet. I was at Walmart and what they had left was marked down 75%. I spent $14.71 on all of this. They are cute little bath sets, the ones in front were marked down to $1.25. And the ones in back were $2.25 each. Even if I tape a gift card to them, it is still cheaper than a gift bag. So my total out of pocket for the year is $15.66. Not too bad!
Thanks for stopping by,
SonyaAnn

LOL Annie J.

Now don't get tempted to ADD another gift just because these were so inexpensive.....I know b/c I use to do that! Nobody but us needs to know how little you are going to spend this year on each gift per person!!lol
So you are OOP $51......how many gifts/people does that amount cover?

I'd suggest that before you buy more "indiscriminate gifts-not specific for anyone" designate these each to a person. You don't want to keep buying on clearance and then at some point in the fall, end up with gifts without appropriate recipients and still MORE recipients to buy for...that will just negate any savings getting stuff for cheap gives you, right?
8-)

Oh...and good job!!! You'll make Santa's Secret not so dirty....well, maybe not, since we are talking My Naughty Twin Sis SonyaAnn here.hehehe

I buy a couple of those every year, too. They always find homes, either with friends/relatives or with the family my sister and I adopt for the holidays.
I got a bath set for Christmas from DD and DSIL. Makes me feel like a rich woman.

Callista-Glad you came to see me! I'll be over in a bit to "steal" me some recipes! I still want to make the lip balm.

slugmama-I think you just got to the root of my problem. Do I have to pay you for analyzing me?
I need to sit down and write out what is going where. And I need to stop guessing!
Thank you for being a naughty twin! I can't even imagine the damage we could do!

A.Marie-Annie is funny, isn't she?
I just pray that I can shave a few bucks off of the gifts. We shall see if I can!

Donna Freedman-I gave one of the sets that I got on clearance last year to one of the women that I'm cleaning for. It looked like a lot and there is no way that she would have guessed that I spent under $20 on it.
I always look at the sets and ahhhhh, I want one! You're a lucky girl!!
Thanks for coming to see me.

Good score, SonyaAnn.

When I was buying gifts, I started a spreadsheet in January with everyone that I planned to buy for listed. Then, as I found something for them, I listed it, along with the value and the actual price I paid. That way, even if I spent a small amount on one, I could make the values of the gifts even.

You can also see your savings that way.

Frances-Thank you! Did you just start the spread sheet or is this the first year?
I was a little leery about posting everything for Christmas but I'm more confidant now. I really think that I can shave a ton off of it. I just need to be held accountable.
