A Response!

I broke every frugal law when I threw out the rotten Pepperoni and didn't return it. I was in a hurry and I was too repulsed to put it back in the frig. I know, Bad SonyaAnn.
I fired off an email about how I loved their product yada, yada, yada and sent them the picture of their pepperoni. They responded that it was Walmart's handling that caused it. Who to blame?
But they did send me a coupon for $4 so I'll shut up about it now. I just hope this next one isn't green!
Thanks for stopping over,
SonyaAnn

I'm glad they gave you a coupon, and didn't just say oh well! That happened with me and campbell soup, they just said Oh Well! I was out the can of soup. It was only a buck, but still!
I just read your post on RLS. I get it every now and then I know how you feel! Its horrible! I run up and down my stairs, but it doesn't help. It seems like if I would jump on some nails that might help, I might have to try the soap next time.

Have a great day!

A coupon is better than mothing I suppose! :0)

Linda-I was surprised too that they sent something. It's ashamed that they aren't as generous as before but a lot of people took advantage of companies so I understand why they are tighter with giving out coupons.
Try the soap! I'm so curious to see if it worked just on a fluke for me or if it will work for someone else.
Thanks for stopping by.

Eternally Distracted-I still think that I will have a hard time eating pepperoni any time soon.;)
Thanks for coming to see me!

Well, if you hit a sale you can score some free pep so not a bad ending.

The grossest thing I ever had happen with a food product was a package of taco shells. I opened the box and the SEALED plastic around the tacos was full of tiny ants..I'm talking ant COVERED shells! I wrote a letter-this was back in the '80s before internet-and told the company.
They wrote back...no coupons, no refund. They said the ants got in there AFTER it left their plant!LOL They 'explained to my puny brain' that this happens, especially since I lived in a coastal area...huh?

I knew right there that this customer service ass was a lying sack 'o shit because A--the plastic was sealed! That meant that the ants or ant eggs where sealed in the product when it was made and packaged. Also, I had bought the shells in March when we lived in Charlottesville, VA(read-mountain area!). Hubby then finished school and we moved to my mom's in Va. Beach(the coastal area). I was putting my return addy on any correspondence for 2 months before we moved as the Va. Bch. addy, so replies would go to the new addy....thus the sack 'o shit assumed I was living and bought the shells at the shore.
Yes, sometimes CS will just spew any old excuse to shut you up.lol

slugmama-I just don't understand why companies treat people like that. Even is they have no intention of sending you a coupon, at least, be nice and apologize! It is a wonder that so many companies stay in business.

I'm glad they sent you a free coupon. The grossest product I ever got was a box of pasta full of weevils. Yuck!

Wow! Good deal on the coupon! You don't have to shut up about it tho...
My MIL is frugal (at times). If she gets something that turns bad too quickly from the store, she'll stick it back in the fridge to take out the next time she goes somewhere then forgets all about it until it's puffy, green and fuzzy... Sometimes not even then. If it gets too gross, I'll just pitch it.

SonyaAnn said...

Pam-Did you ask for a refund on the pasta?

SonyaAnn said...

McVal-I bet that at times, you are a bit scared to go in her frig. My MIL will give you food way past the expiration date. One time she served us a salad and when we were done eating, I noticed that it was rotten at the bottom of the bag. It looked like canned spinach. Needless to say, we all had stomach aches.

I do remember this. Glad the coupon came in!

Mom's Place-I'll play nice now!

The Warrior in ME-It isn't often that something like this works out in my favor or at least, I break even.

SonyaAnn said...

Beth-Nope, I'll shut up now. Well, probably not but I can dream!

SonyaAnn, when you get your new pepperoni, make sure it is not green. Then store it in the freezer until you need to use it.

I always return food that has problems to the store. It doesn't bother me to take it back, though I am nice and won't shout out "Hey, your food has bugs in it." LOL!

Once I had to explain to a teenage girl what weevils were.

Frances-I try to be nice about everything but sometimes it doesn't work.
I did manage to keep my cool when I called EIU. The girl working there just kept say, yeah, ummm, I don't know about that and then just repeating what I had already said. Grrrr, and I'm think, I'm going to spend all this money and Anna is going to get THAT kind of an education. All is good!
