Let me start this by saying, "I don't want to hear it." And I'm saying it in my most stern mom tone. This is an update to Santa's Secret. Yup, I went way over budget on this one. I'm not telling anymore who is getting what but I doubt my little nephew is going to read this. He isn't two yet and his world consists only of Thomas and ride on cars. My guess is this will be his favorite gift. The only problem is I don't think I will have the self-control to wait. Honestly, I've already said that we should give it to him when he is here at Thanksgiving. I mean they won't have much room at Christmas for such a big toy in the car(they live in KY) so giving it to him now only makes sense, right?
My grand total for the year is $441.23. If I give it to him now, do I get to subtract the $107.10 from the Christmas total?
Thanks for stopping over,

Ok...I'll just sit over here in the corner and keep my hands firmly planted over my mouth.
You will however have to suffer seeing my eyes rolls around in my head if you happen to look over here.
"Nuff said"

Love you anyway!!!

LOL! You just want to deduct it from your Christmas list money! You'll still have to get him something for Christmas!
You're going to spoil that kid...
:) in a good way.

slugmama-I really think I'm going to give it to him for his baptism or something. It's too cute to wait til Christmas.
And thank you for just rolling your eyes at me, it's like Anna is home!

SonyaAnn said...

McVal-I want to be the Aunt that makes him rotten! I just can't help it!

O.k. This is super cute, how could you not buy it right? LOL Don't be too hard on yourself, I think we've all been there. Don't even get me started about American Girl Dolls and accessories, lol. Have a great day.

Jill-Thank you! Sluggy is still in the corner rolling her eyes and she even has a post on her blog and I think that its about me!

Nancy said...

I'm in a frugal coma and can't say anything!

SonyaAnn said...

Nancy-Thanks for coming to see me!

I'm over with Sluggy. Of course, I couldn't start rolling my eyes until I got up off the floor. I only passed out a little bit.

I am not saying a thing.

$107.???? Yikes!
I still shop at the Dollar store for two year olds. They don't care. Lucky Kid!

SonyaAnn said...

Frances-OK in my defense, this toy will be passed down and used for many years. My kids had "cars" and used them for about 5 years and then handed them off to 3 small girls. I just like to buy toys that last and are loved. I know excuses, excuses!

SonyaAnn said...

Mark-I'm just buying his love and the way I see it I'm so far ahead of everyone!
Thank you for coming to see me!

slugmama said... are buying his love as part of your evil plan.
Now that makes it better!, maybe
Or maybe you just love your family more than I do. I would have gotten that ride-on in a heartbeat for my son as he was a major Thomas addict at that age, but a nephew? Not this cheap, frugal

Mark is kids got more out of playing with the boxes when they were 2...but then again, the brains hadn't kicked in yet with mine at that age.hehehe

Once we pick Frances up and wake Nancy out of her coma, Nancy, Frances and I will be in the frugal corner & we'll be looking for a fourth so we can play cards.

PS...My blog post today was NOT about you. I had it planned and written out a week ago to post today....but the timing was very synchronistic, was it not?lolol

SonyaAnn said...

slugmama-Well I would play cards with you but I'm not frugal enough!lol
My nephew is the only one that I have and probably the only one for a very long time. He isn't two and Anna is 18 so I've been itching to have a little one around for a while. I had some $500 trains with tracks picked out and Den came unglued. Hmmm, it isn't often that he is the voice of reason. There is just something about Justin that makes me want to go bankrupt.
And I'm more than willing to serve my own kids the same leftovers until they rebel. It happened. But for Justin, ahhh well, you can visit me in the poor house. And I think that I'm going to give this to him for his baptism and then take it off the Christmas list. I have already found a suitable replacement. I think that it's just the way that Justin calls me Tia that makes me melt. Can you tell that I wanted more kids?

slugmama said...

Ahh yes, baby lust has made many a woman do strange
Having a situation where Den is the voice of reason?....just can't imagine that one. ;-)

If my Daughter was on your gift list(and be VERY GLAD that she is NOT!)and she saw you give someone else a $100 gift, she'd be expecting her gift to cost/be worth that amount too....but that's HER
I think you are wise to give it to him for a Baptism gift instead. At least I can stop rolling my eyes over here in the corner now. 8-))

Your wanting to go live in the poorhouse for your nephew doesn't bode well for once Anna starts making you a grandma. Better start socking $ away for all those grandma indulgences.lolol

slugmama-I think that Justin will be the one and only for a while. I don't even want to think about Anna having kids, yuck! My sister can't have kids and my brother is still so young that it won't happen anytime soon. And Cindy is Den's only sibling so Justin gets all my love.
And do I need to say to you what I say to Anna when she rolls her eyes! Are you have a seizure?

slugmama said...

Aw come on! I can't even roll my eyes at you?lol
Geez....I might have to start exhibiting other teenage loveliness, like cursing and foot stomping and sulking and pouting...

My kids have exactly one cousin and I, one nephew. He's 16 tho and far from adorable(read-teenager)and there will be no more. I can't imagine my kids having kids!!lol Though my daughter did tell me she wants to adopt a baby with, that just came out of left field one day!lol

"I might have to start exhibiting other teenage loveliness, like cursing and foot stomping and sulking and pouting..."-I would be a ble to give you a run for your money as I have seen many, many years of this crap!

Frances said...

For all you that cannot imagine your kids having kids, keep in mind that we did not imagine that either. "It just happened."

Not to scare you or anything. But mine were 20 and 18 when they had their kids. Way to young, but that didn't stop them.

slugmama said...

OH!...I forgot door slamming too. And you have another 5yrs. or so of this lovely stuff SonyaAnn. But I have 6 more to put up with so you win!lol

And Frances, my son is 19+ and the daughter will be 18 next are frightening me!!!

SonyaAnn said...

Frances-For the love of God, shut up!!! Really, what did I do to you!?!
My kids can barely take care of themselves, there is no way they could take care of a kid!

SonyaAnn said...

sluggy-So far DJ has not caused any of the problems Anna has. She is just a mouth, he just pouts and walks off. I hope it stays like that.
And please shut Frances up! Please!

Merry Christmas SonyaAnn. I'm a bit late as I see you took a breather for awhile but just stopped by to catch up and say hi.

My grandson lives for Thomas. He sings the songs by memory. What an awesome aunt you are.
