You are going to need a..........

In case you missed it, that is a decoder ring. You are going to need it. This is going to be one of the posts that I put up and then yank down. But then what do I have to worry about, I only write fiction.
There once was a girl, I will call Hanna that went once in the summer and once after Christmas to visit her bio-father. We shall call him Richard or Dick for short.
So Hanna's mom, we will call her Ms.Too Nice For Her Own Good, drove twice a year to O'Hare with never a thank you in sight. It was just expected of Ms.TNFHOG(that's a bit much, lets cut it down to Ms.Nice). She was always TOLD that she was driving after the tickets were purchased. Grrrrr but for the sake of peace and doing right by her child, she did it.
Hanna went to visit this year and Dick took her to a speak-easy. Yes, they exist but no longer for alcohol but for drugs. Yeah, go back and read that line again. So Hanna didn't understand what was going on. All she knew was she was very uncomfortable. The speak-easy was in an underground room off of a basement in a building.
Dick kept leaving her alone in a room of Meth-heads to go do fluffy lines of Pepsi. All the while the Meth-heads hit on Hanna. Dick continued to do Pepsi and drink until Hanna got mad and said she wanted to leave. Drunk and high Dick then drove Hanna home.
Yes, this shit really happens. Ms. Nice has always tried to give her children a good and stable home. Her kids have never been subjected to anything like this.
Guess where Hanna is never going again? But just to make sure that this doesn't happen again, Ms. Nice called Dick's brother. Dick's brother is a honest family man. I wish I could be a fly on the wall for that one.
I thought this only happened on intervention.
Smile it's all down hill from here,
SonyaAnn

Poor Hanna. I hope she never has to go there again.

I hope teh dick gets what is coming to him.

Frances-I can't even believe that someone would do that to their "child." I was so upset. Or Ms. nice was upset.

McVal-But at least, the problem is solved!

So very sorry to hear she had to experience something like this... how awful. What is wrong with some people? I'll just leave it at that. Hope things are better from here on out. good to see you back though.
Blessings,
Jill

Well Ms. Nice shouldn't beat herself up over this. Especially if there was no indication that this sort of thing was a normal occurrence in the Dickhead's life. Dealing with a non-custodial parent situation I guess it is always trying to balance access for the sake of the child no matter how unparent-like the other person is.

And even if the Dickhead is known to have done dickhead things in the past, Ms. Nice is NOT in possession of a crystal ball, because if she were she'd have hit the lottery numbers years ago and could afford to hire a full-time security guard to send with Hanna on visits.

Hopefully this all happened when Hanna was older....not that that makes it any better, but better to be older than say 5 or 10 yr. old.

During my teenage years I had to fend off unsolicited advances from family members and close friends of the family people. It affected me a little but in the end, I turned out aok. Hanna should be fine....
She sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders, which would be due to the non-dickhead parent. ;-)

And I guess my decoder ring got lost in the mail, dangit!

Jill-I missed you too. I really hope that this is the end of this story.

slugmama-This just happened! She went out there the end of Dec for a week.
The scary thing is if he had gotten pulled over with drugs or if the crack house had been busted, she would have gone to jail. We would have lost everything that we had worked for cuz he is an addict. What an awful thought that is?

SonyaAnn, I know there is no reason to be talking about what could have happened, but I will say, if the dick had gotten pulled over, it would only have taken a simple drug test to show the police that Anna was not using.

My niece's baby dad was running meth lab that she didn't know about. I know, she was young and naive. He was busted and went to jail. She was there when he was busted and she did not go to jail.

Of course, it is just sickening that anyone would expose their child to something like that. Anna may decide she does not want to visit him anymore. And she is old enough to decide that.

Oops, I meant Hanna.

I'm sorry Hanna had to deal with this. Some people have no concept of anything except themselves and their wants. Even if you know your parent isn't the best parent they could be it had to be a rude awakening to have to deal with something like that. I pray things go better after this. Take care.

Frances-I know that she probably wouldn't be arrested but still it shouldn't even have happened. It's just nuts that someone would do something like that. He must think that taking her to score coke is ok. He doesn't even see what he is doing is wrong, its become his normal. Which makes me think that he must have been doing it for a very long time and that he is completely hooked.
"
My niece's baby dad was running meth lab that she didn't know about."-Why would someone put someone they love through that?

Frances-;)

Sheila-Thanks for the prayers! That really means a lot to me. She was upset when we said we don't want her out there any more but she got it. We told her that our door is open for anyone of her family from out there to stay with us(except coke head) and that seemed to help.

Frances said...

I am surprised that she is upset that you don't want her to go there. I would think she is adult enough to realize that is a bad situation for her to be in. I know she loves her dad, but I am still surprised.

I love my dad, but if he were cokehead, I would not be going to see him.

SonyaAnn said...

Frances-She wasn't upset about him, it was her grandparents and a cousin that she was upset about. She also, has a little sister and she won't be seeing any of them anymore. And she cried because this was a messed up situation and she was mad.

Frances said...

Oh, well, I totally understand that.

Maybe for the next visit it could be arranged for her to stay with her grandparents. Surely they know that their son is a doper.

SonyaAnn said...

Frances-Oh yes, they know that he is a doper but he gets in his Mother's face and screams using intimidation to get his way. They back down. And Anna has always stayed with them, I won't let her stay with him. But he says things like he is taking her to the mall and then she goes and they end up at a bar or worse. There is no way to stop him. Except to keep her away.

Such a tough subject :( Thank goodness she has Ms. Nice in her life!!

SonyaAnn said...

Rene w.- Thank you, I love being white trash. Seriously, who does this happen too?

Dawna said...

Geez this sounds too familiar. Ask "Ms. Nice" if she would like to join me in super gluing Hanna's Dad to my ex and making them the Siamese twins that they should have been born as. I think "Ms. Nice" is right to be livid and right to never let Hannah return there.

SonyaAnn said...

Dawna-I feel low about airing dirty laundry but this is a bit too messed up even for me! I can think of a few other things to do to them with the super glue!
