This Should Be.......

Wicked Wednesday even though it's Thursday. Gas prices are really getting terrible by us. And don't even get me started on the robbing thieves of Illinois. Gasbuddy.com is a good way to search for gas if you haven't heard of it. We also use the Chase Marathon credit card. We only use it for gas and get 5% back on all purchases at a Marathon. Have I missed anything?
Just trying to make light of a miserable situation,

I was going to pay off one of our cars with our Tax Refund. But now I think I'll just bank it and use it for gas money. m.

Mark-How sad is that? It makes me nuts. Den is paying $50 a week for gas. It is disgusting.

LOL, this is so true!! It's absolutely crazy! This is another way that being a stay at home mom can save $$ in times like these. If I do need to go out I coordinate my runs into one day the best I can. Every little bit helps.

Have a great day!

I bet come summer the touristy/resort type places/areas will be hurting to fill their rooms b/c of the gas prices(well, what they are projected to be by then). It's $4 or more a gal. like a couple of years back. Less people on the road unless they really NEED to be driving somewhere.
If you live near a resort place you'll probably be able to cut yourself a very nice deal on a vacation and seeing as you are close the gas prices won't keep you from getting there.
Because of the teens working in western PA this summer at various times during the season we'll be using all our discretionary funds on gas for multiple trips from here to there and then to their colleges which are also out in western PA.
If Hubs could retire now I'd be tempted to move out there just because of the cost of all that gas.lol

If you have a Kroger card, you can get $.10 off per gallon at Shell for every $100 you spend at Kroger. And that is before coupons, so we get 2 or 3 fill ups a month there. I don't know if it is all areas, though.

sluggy-I'm tellin ya its just ugly. Anna is looking for a summer job and I just cringe at the gas costs. I think that she will be eating this one.

Frances-We don't have a Krogers or a Rite-Aid. I swear that we live in the middle of nowhere! We have a Marathon and we get 5% back.
Hope you had a great weekend!

I am so not looking forward to filling that big old honkin' RV with diesel for our trips. Kevin said he budgeted for $4.50 a gallon when he planned the trips. I bet it will be more than that by the time our Missouri trip comes along. OUCH!! I guess the cost of these trips makes up for all the years we took no vacations. Take care.

sheila-As long as you budget for it, it is all good. Have fun and post tons of pictures!
Have a great week.
