Free Christmas Presents!!

This is an awesome gift and it's free!! Nothing screams the birth of Christ like being cheap. So lets all scream now!!!
Recyclebank is a site that encourages its users to be green. I don't mind earning free stuff and saving the environment all a the same time.
I signed up for Recyclebank a few months ago and have been slowly earning points from them. Trust me it is slow going but when you do get points the pay off is great. If you want to sign up, here is my link.
For 115 points, you can get a one year subscription to Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Popular Mechanics and many, many more. That would be a great gift. Also, for 100 points you can get a subscription to Sports Illustrated and many more for just $2. Ummmmm, I paid $25 for S.I. last year for my Father in law. Breaks my frugal heart.
Just a few Christmas ideas,
SonyaAnn

Not to throw an anchor in this boat but magazine subscriptions are so bad for the environment(all that paper, all those trees!). It seems counter-productive that RecycleBank offers a deal on those.
But I'm just in an "always looking for something to bitch about" kind of mood today, ain't I? ;-)

How's your Xmas list coming along??
Are you not posting the details this year because of snooping relatives?

sluggy-I agree with the waste but it still is something that I'm going to do. My FIL loves it and he is super hard to buy for so sorry to say its happenin'.
I'm just going to post what I'm saving and maybe something that I find here and there. I felt that I had to defend what I was buying and it was ruining Christmas even more. Not that I like that holiday at all.
I think next year I'm just going to go almost all gift cards and maybe some homemade jam or something. I just want an easier life. Isn't that everyone's mantra?

I'm not ragging on you hon', you go buy whatever you want! Or whatever makes the most sense for your giftees.
I'm just ragging on Recycle Bank...so for eco-issues but encouraging the destruction of trees. I guess if they were to encourage the recycling of the mags it makes it better, huh?lol

Not having to spend all the cash we do on xmas gifts would sure make our lives simpler, right? 8-)

I think we should encourage more meat for xmas, or any time. ;-)

sluggy-You definitely need some protein!
Oh I know that you aren't ragging on me. You love me too much to give me shit! I think eventually they will do some kind of download to kindle or something for magazines and not paper at all.
Since I'm a writer(not a good one) I have had to figure out all of the paperback/digital stuff. It is just about impossible to get a real book deal these days. And since I am never going to get anywhere with it, I have decided to release my next book through Amazon. My old publishers want my next book but I've talked to Amazon and they will take it too. I think that is the best way to go since A) I'm a nobody B) it seems to be the way that things are going. It would be nice to make a few extra bucks off this little hobby of mine.

Ya know, I thought that I had left a message earlier. I could have sworn that I was just here. How freaky is that! Maybe I visited Sluggy. You all look the same after awhile. You know, HOT!
I really am trying to get back in the habit of commenting again hoping that it will inspire me to write. But so far, nothing. I'm Blog Impotent. You got anything for that?
But since I'm not blogging, here's a gift.

I joined recyclebank and got some good diaper coupons when I was buying tons of diapers.

I will piss of Sluggy, but I buy mags for my sweetie-pie. He loves to read them and he doesn't ask for much. Oh, wait, yes he does.

SonyaAnn-RE:book deals...you are so right. My buddy at the WVA Surf Report finally said screw it and self-published his 1st book this past Spring after 2 yrs. of waiting on a publisher to pub him. He lost his job in 2007 and that gave him the impetus and time to write the book. Anyway, he has a website at crossroadsroad dotcom where he posts about being a writer/self published. You might find something in common with him there. Hell, maybe he'll interview you and you can give each other some publicity! ;-)
Mark--I'm sorry to here about your problem. I'm sure Rite-Aid has something to fix you up....lol
And I loved that pic of the family!!
I bet it was YOUR idea, right? And I bet Fred bought the shirts....I hope he had a coupon! ;-)

Frances--It doesn't piss me off hon....especially if you sashay around wearing that boa while you buy mags.
Hubba-Hubba!!

Sorry to hijack your comments SonyaAnn...

Mark-I am sorry about your blog problem. I think sluggy is right, go to RiteAid.
That was such a cute idea with the shirts! No wonder you have no time to write, you and your family are famous! Can I have an autograph? Would you sign my boob?

Frances-I'm just going to keep saving my points to get a few presents. I do like it there.

sluggy-I will check him out. It is just a miserable road to travel. I changed my mindset a long time ago about my books. I want a real deal but now I'm not so sure. In the end, I just want to write so I think that Amazon is the way to go. But I'm sure that I will have something to complain about once I do it.

sluggy-Jack away.

Sluggy, I had a boa, but I sold it with other Mardi Gras stuff when we had too much and had to get rid of some.

I order mags in the nude. LOL!
