When Anna is Away

Mom will clean. I know it doesn't look like a huge difference but it took a long time. Almost as long as finding a before picture!

It's just clean enough for her to complain about me erasing her from the room. I keep telling her that my cleaning is just making her room more mature. She isn't buying it. But she is still considered very clean at school and now at home too.
And that's it,

My kids hate it when I clean their rooms, but I guess if they leave us for college or just leave, it's their own darn fault!
But cleaning their rooms depress me. I usually find a diary with a nasty entry about me. Or some violent lyrics of a song they've written... Or an empty condom wrapper... I've said too much.

Once my kids step foot on a college campus, they lose exclusive rights to "their" room!
It then transfers into the room they sleep in while home but it's MINE otherwise!
The stuff they don't take with them gets relegated to boxes or the closet and I get to decorate/arrange/dig out and clean as I see fit.

We lost a son but Hubs gained a study.....
We are losing a daughter but I am gaining a sewing room....a sewing room with a huge bed in the middle of it.lol

McVal-I think kids just hate cleanliness. Why else would you complain?
I told Anna to get anything that she didn't want me to find out before she left. She said that she had a really good hiding place for her drugs and I shouldn't worry. She is a smart ass.

sluggy-I love the way that you look at things. I have lost a daughter to college but I have gained a storage/drying room. Ahhhhh, life is good. I wonder what I should do with DJ's room. Is it too soon to be thinking that? He is only 15.

I WISH my daughter would go away to university instead of living at home while she goes so I could do THAT to HER room, but it would take at least a week.
I did find a condom once but thankfully it was still in the wrapper.

Jill-I actually love to clean. Something is wrong with me. And I love to dejunk. I really need help!
I wished you lived closer cuz I would love to help you.

Jane-Just think of all of the money that you are saving by having her live with you. It would be a lot cheaper if Anna had chosen to go to the community college but I think we may have killed each other. Still might. LOL

Anna left her room a lot neater than Samantha did when she moved out. It took days to clean out all the junk she chose not to take with her.

Frances-I have been happily weeding our her room since her Senior year. It was wishful cleaning at the time.
