Santa's Bum

The Santa on Monday was just a little bit hotter.I play Santa in this house but my butt doesn't look like that, I hope.
I think the race to Christmas is going to get a bit more interesting now that we are getting closer. Sometimes I think that it would just be nice to have the money to buy everything that I want online all at once. Then I wake up and look at the checkbook.
I got another $20 from toluna so the money that I have earned this year is $503. I have $238.26 in the pot as we speak. I have quite a few gifts on the way but I'm not counting them until I get them. I find a lot of my good deals on Hip 2 Save and other similar sites. On occasion things get canceled, its the name of the game.
The order for my FIL went through. I ordered Time and Sports Illustrated for him and it did cost $4.Watch it is some kind of crazy knockoff and I will be so embarrassed. It's probably little people porn.

I think that I'm going to add a camera to my Christmas list. You deserve better pictures than what my phone can produce. I went shopping at Michaels. The problem is quite a few things were marked down by 20% but it didn't tell me how much I saved. And I had two 50% off coupons on one item. So I have no idea how to figure this one out, which will probably kill sluggy. Anyways, I spent $29.67 for $37.17(not including what was marked down by 20% or the two 50% off coupons) worth of trinkets. I mostly bought all of this to tape gift cards to. Sad but true.
I now have.............................
2-$20 G.C. Chili's(paid $10 each)
2 $25G.C  Boston Market(paid $15 each)
4 $15 Rain Forest G.C. (paid $7.50 each)
3 $10 On the Border/Chili's/Macaroni Grill/Maggiano's G.C.(paid $5 each)
1 $25 GameStop G.C(free)
8 $12 movie tickets($6.75 each)
1 $25 Olive Garden G.C. (free)
4 $10 Subway G.C.($5 each)
1 $15 Auto Zone G.C.(free)
1 $10 Burger King G.C($6.99)
1 $10 Target G.C(free)
1 Sports Illustrated subscription for $2
1 Time magazine subscription for $2
2 lg wooden puzzles $5each. $10 for both
1 foam activity $9.99.
8 wood catapults $.79 each. $6.32
4 race cars $1 each. $4
2 wood puzzles $1 each.$2
1 paint poster $1
1 plaster magnet $1.
1 tissue paper kit $1
Plus all of the stuff in the gift closet. That goes something like this...................
8 Light up ceramic car(4.50 each)
3 Xmas Stocking, dish towel, door hanger set thingy($3.90 each set)
2 Xmas Angel($4.50 each)
4 kids Xmas purses ($2.40 each)
2 silver Xmas tree($5.40 each)
1 lg Santa($9.00)
6 Xmas frame($3.00 each)
1 Xmas platter($5.40)
Everything in the gift closet was market down 90% and I used the gift cards that I got from Christmas to pay for it. How's that for a deal?!?
I really hope you appreciate all the work that goes into this! And sluggy if you would like to figure out the percentages of what I have saved, I will tell you, you are cute. And while you are at it and have nothing better to do, will you edit my book? LOL.
I've paid $175.99 for $401 worth of gift cards and movie tickets. $4 for two magazine subscriptions worth $40. I paid $29.67 for $37.17 worth of stuff from Micheals. And I paid $126.92 for all of the gifts in the gift closet which were 90% off but used free gift cards to pay for that.
I'm going to start ordering presents for the little ones in my life, my adorable nephews and the little one that I babysit for. This is where I have no self control and the money will soon start disappearing. I see ride on toys in my future. It also looks like a lot of the family wants gift cards this year. I just don't think that I will get Victoria Secret's half off like I have been getting the restaurant gift cards. That is going to kill my little Christmas fund. Plastic jungle is going to get a visit from me pretty soon.
My life is so boring,

Some things just can't be un-seen!

Sheila-Just trying to get you in the holiday mood.

D.Lynn-Sorry about that one.

Yes, for the love of God, get a new camera. I want to see some good photos.
And I didn't mind that Santa. I love that he kept his boots on too. That way, he can just drop of his load and get back on the road.
p.s. Yes, I meant it that way.

Mark-Just like giving Christians the finger over at sluggys?

Jane said...

Whoa ho ho! I think he's kinda cute, not buff, but cute - just letting it all hang out :)
Your list of gifts is the 8th wonder of the world!

"Mark-Just like giving Christians the finger over at sluggys?"

And you know me better than that....I am an equal opportunity finger giver!

SonyaAnn said...

Jane-I'm still collecting more gifts. I crunched the numbers last night and I think that this Christmas will cost about $350 OOP. I hope that is still a good number. Next year I hope to do better.

SonyaAnn said...

sluggy-Good to know that both you and Mark are giving people the finger.

McVal said...

Oh my. I guess I DON'T believe in Santa anymore... Well, not now! I didn't realize what a beer gut he had...
I dearly hope you're not giving your fil little people porn...

SonyaAnn said...

McVal-I have to laugh at everyone. I think that my pictures are distracting from the posts.
Santa isn't hot. And I don't think that my FIL is into that sort of thing.

slugmama said...

@McVal....that's not a beer's a MILK and COOKIES Gut!lolol

@SonyaAnn....and even Santa gives people the finger. Don't believe me?...go reread "Twas the Night Before Christmas"...and I quote...."And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!"
The finger AND a nod!
So Mark and I are in good company....lolol

sluggy-you have too much time on your hands!!!

Frances said...

SonyaAnn, isn't $350 WAY better than you did last year? I am proud of you!

SonyaAnn said...

Frances-I got the BIGGEST smile on my face when I read your comment. You rock and well so do I(at Christmas shopping).
