Steel Baby

I had Anna take these pictures to see if her camera phone was any better. Not feeling it!
This is our new frig. I've been calling it the steel monstrosity. It's a bit HUGE. No one else sees that it is a bit large. I know shut up, it's new.
I am not calling the stove/oven a monstrosity. It is nice and I'm not complaining about the 5th burner. What I will complain about is the fact that the damned handle on the microwave is stainless steel and you brand the shit out of your hand if you try and open it when the stove has been on for a while.
The dishwasher is falling out of the wall when you open it. Den installed it. Sigh. But everything is new. I think that some of my problem is the bill that is coming along with these babies. I'll love them when they are paid.
They really do add quite a bit to the kitchen. It seems that we are finally catching up with the 21st century. This is an expensive century.
Now all I need to do is update the rest of the house since it isn't as spiffy.
Thanks for letting me vent,
The ungrateful one

They all look very nice. But, yes, I'm totally with you on the bill part. You'll LOVE them once that's paid. :)

NICE! And just remember, it's all a process. Be nice to them in the meantime - they'll know if you don't love them ;)

They look so shiny and new!
As for you photo issues, try this:
When you are writing your posts and add a picture to it, hover over the picture. A 'pop-up' box should appear that will let you decide how big you want your picture to be(small, medium, large, ex-large)and just click on the size you want. Don't think it's big enough, just take it back to edit state and repeat the above process.
Hope this helps!

ChiTown-I keep telling Den that he will have to win enough in Vegas to cover the bill. Not going to happen but I can dream.

D.Lynn-Haha, I haven't' said one bad word in front of them!

Mamma has spoken-Thank you for the tip. I actually knew that one. The problem is the pictures look very grainy if I enlarge them. My phone used to take awesome pictures-now not so much. I either need a new phone or a camera. But since I can barely keep track of my phone, I probably shouldn't add something else for me to keep track of.

Wow!
I bet you need to wear shades in your kitchen now cuz the light reflecting off those bad boys is blinding!!

You will now spend your days polishing them I'm sorry to say.
At least your biceps will be killer...lol

I just paid $1300 onto my c/c to start paying off my new fridge and stove. I haven't even SEEN them yet as they don't get delivered to my house in PEI til July 3rd. Should I really have to pay for them yet? That's a good tip about the microwave handle - I would have got caught on that one a few times too before figuring it out. I mean, who thinks to put on an oven mitt to open the microwave??
Congrats - you'll love them once you get used to seeing them there.

Congrats on your new appliances!! We typically replace as they break. So unless you had a heap of an unfortunate week with things breaking, I'd be thrilled to get new appliances when I didn't need them!!!
Our stainless steel fridge shows every single finger print. Who cares if it's stainless when you have to clean it all the time?!
We have lots of magnets...

Yes sadly Sluggy is correct - you will need lots and lots of Pledge. I'll try and find a deal for you!

sluggy-I'm hoping that all that reflecting will help to heat the house in the winter. A girl can dream,
I don't have arms, I have wings.

Jane-They are quite lovely but I just paid the first bill. I found the entire thing off putting. Maybe it will upset me so much that I will lose weight. Doubt it.

McVal-Maybe I'm not as clean as I think that I am but I'm not having problems with the stainless steel. Maybe I should invest in new glasses. I spray Comet stainless steel cleaner on it and wipe.
We always did the same thing too. We only replaced it as it broke. This is the "richest" thing that we have ever done. Our stove sucked and burned everything when it did work and the frig had to be taped since we bought it. The microwave was on its last leg.

Sheila-That was an adorable comment. You are so SWEET!

They are beautiful! Now all we need it a picture of you at the stove...in just an apron. Or Den at the stove...in just an apron.

I know...we have to wait until Anna goes back to school. :-)

Enjoy them!

Frances-At this point in our lives, we need a hell of a lot more than an apron!
