Fabulous Friday

Since we are getting closer to the 4th of July, I figured I would start looking for cheap decorations. I mean, we have to have a party. And if we have a party that means that I will surely go over my weekly food budget and then I will have more to write about. It seems like I am always choosing fun over my budget. I mean it though, I will get it under control. Just not during the summer.

OH heck, I know the answer....just buy adult beverages and put it under the entertaining budget.
Then when everyone is nice and "buzzed", put out empty food trays. Your guests won't remember if they ate the food or not and you save a ton on the party!
thankyouverymuch 8-))

sluggy-I like where you went with that. So maybe I should just buy groceries and take money from a different fund and then not beat myself up about it. Wait, I sound like the government.

Do you have Dollar Tree or 99 Cent Only stores? Those are great places to get cheap decor for parties and they are stocking up on July 4 stuff now.

Oh, and put the booze in entertainment as Sluggy suggests. Heck put ALL the party food under than category. It IS for entertaining, after all.

Frances-I'll have to check out the dollar tree. We have one about 20 minutes from me. I don't get there very often and it is usually just to stock up on dishwasher detergent and thank you notes.
And I really like how you and sluggy come up with interesting ways to fix my budget. Very creative. Hell maybe if you two did my bills, I would be rich.
