Fabulous Friday

This is it. It is what I want for my yard. I wrote about how I was trying to grow Morning Glories before. Things are not going as planned. For some reason, they grew to be about an inch tall and then the leaves fell off. I have never heard of this happening before. I planted more and will keep you posted because I know that you can not carry on with life without an update.
Not weed friendly,

I feel your pain. I planted two Clematis plants at the same time. One has taken over my front porch. The other blooms one single bloom in the spring then does nothing. Would get rid of it but I keep hoping that it takes off soon (never mind it's been there for 5+ years).........

Morning glories is one of the few things I can grow with ease!
If you are planting them from seed, be sure to soak the seeds in warm water before planting, then take a sharp knife and nick each seed so it is easier for it to germinate. I read that somewhere and when I grow them from seed, I do this.
Of course if you leave the vines in place long after the plants die, the seed pods will burst open and the seeds that land on the ground, if left alone there thru the winter, will germinate and grow you new vines year after year.

At least they do for me....

Crossing my fingers for ya!!

Oh, incredible. I love morning glories. Here white ones grow as weeds and they are very pretty although my heart always sinks when I see them cause they will swamp everything else given a chance.

mama .bonnie-I would say that you are doing better than I am. I good with growing weeds though.
I am supposed to be outside weeding but I would rather be here typing.

sluggy-I'm really a waste when it comes to plants. But I keep trying. I'm good with growing weeds. Yay, Sonya.

Jenny-I wish I could get them to the point where they were taking over. LOL

I thought Morning Glories were supposed to be easy to grow. They always were for my mom. Of course, her thumbs are pretty green.

Frances-No dear, I can't even grow a weed. Well, I can grow some weeds that I have to pull but not the pretty ones.
