S'Monday S'Monday S'Monday

So what happens when you son and husband don't use the expensive otterboxes that you made them get when you bought your cell phones? Yes, you are right. The screens break when they are dropped. DJ has been living with it for a while and he has been using the otterbox to hold it together. Sigh. Had he just used it in the first place this wouldn't have happened.
Luckily, I was insistent that we buy the insurance. I have never purchased insurance on a product before but I figured that we would need it and since the phones are $500 each, I figured we would chance it. The insurance was $140 a phone and the kids paid it themselves. I gambled and won on this one. It cost $125 to replace each phone and we get to keep the broken phones. I'm pretty sure that we can sell them even broken to recoup some of the money.
So to reiterate, if you break your cell phone, you get a new one and it is the upgraded model. Not fair. I don't think that they will learn.
Perhaps if they had to use this beauty for a while, they would keep the case on their phones. I think that using the Motoroal Dyna TAC 8000X would make a great replacement.

This is what the completed college list pile looks like minus his clothes. Soon people, very soon!
Anna has been hard at work getting her place in order.
She even spray painted the little shelves black to match the entertainment center. How crafty!
There is a good shot of the couch that my FIL drove to her. I remember that couch it was super comfy.

And the porn chair continues to live with Anna. She has had it for 2 years now. I think she paid about $20 for it. She said she saw one for sale for $1000. SELL IT, I yelled. She is quite attached to that silly thing.
I found this little guy in the yard. I almost stepped on him. I know that he was supposed to be scared of me but he seemed more angry than scared. He was trying to fly but it wasn't going as planned. He kept looking up at me and squawking. It was a pissed off squawk. I chased him onto the driveway so I wouldn't step on him. He figured out flying not too long after that. It seems that a lot of things are taking flight around here. I'm not sure if I like it so much now that it is here. What's my purpose?
Nest almost emptied,

GMTA again today....go see my post. lolz

Once we add in all the musical paraphernalia(4 insturments, stands and cases)I think my pile will be bigger than your pile...ugh.

Be brave!
We'll get through this!!!
Then it's "Naked & drinking in the house anytime you want because the kids are all moved out!" Day.

Woohoo!

sluggy-I don't think that Den wants to see me naked. I scare me naked.
You are welcome to have a bigger pile than me. I'm sick of having a massive pile in the room I want to refinish. I mean your room. LOL

FREEDOM - not what's my purpose! Just think of all the things you will get to do because you want to, not because you have to!

My daughter said she would be so glad when her son left last year because of the huge stack of stuff in the way. She didn't dare put anything anywhere else for fear something would get left behind.

As for broken phones, I have a simple one that is made for military specs--Rugby III. I am sure I would break a phone with a screen that could be broken.

Porn chair? Really? lol

Urgh about the broken phone screen and yay for them in getting new ones as a reward, hehe. But I sympathize, understanding the lesson gone awry...
I'm currently living with a broken iPhone screen, courtesy

Of my toddler, despite the protective case. It's been over 1 month now and I'm trying to hold off. Although I've heard you can get it fixed for $50 or so in Chinatown...

I feel so much batter about all the money I have been spending when I read about your $500 phones. Even the broken ones. LOL!

You can be nekkid when Den is not there. Trust me, you will grow to love it.

It seems so great in theory doesn't it? Of course I'm speaking theoretically since my almost 24 year old daughter is still comfortably ensconced in the bedroom that I pay for!! I guess that would make us roommates!!

Cheapchick-That was a great pep talk! And I feel better. Thank you!

Practical Parsimony-At least, I have Anna's room to dump everything in. And I agree with her, every time I think of something, I throw it in the pile. I don't like living like this but forgetting something is more upsetting.
I'm thinking we need phones like yours. I'm toying with the idea of changing from Verizon. So maybe new phones will be happening.
It spins, so yes, porn chair.

Jules-I MISSED YOU!!!

Jules-It seems like just yesterday DJ was a toddler. It was fun.
I looked it up and an iphone is only worth $50ish so I don't think that I will be fixing them. But they work so they will probably live in a drawer until someone breaks another phone.

Frances-I got the first phones for free. I've not lost all of my mind yet!
No nekkid Sonya. The neighbors will be grateful!

Jane-I think roommates pay. Not for sure on that one but I think so. LOL
