Making Him Miss Me

My look when my kids don't return my texts!
I might have mentioned it before but we are enjoying being kidless. It's great but I would like if my son would answer his damned phone. In fact, the only time I know he is alive is when he is asking for money for games or Magic cards.
So I decided that I would start sending him pictures of what was going on around here until he answered.
I sent him this one and told him that the cat missed him. Maybe one day I will learn that I over share with you guys.
This one was I'm sick of you not answering.
And for the grand finale............................
I told him that dad was going to get involved if he didn't respond! Mind you, Den isn't as flexible as the cat.
I got back a WTF!?!?! And he let me know that he was in bed. Yeah, I forgot that he is in a different time zone. So he is alive and slightly horrified.
I bet I'm a better parent than you are!
Mom of the year,
Sonya Ann

Den looks like he's about to swing his leg behind his head! Ahhh kids...I have to do the same with Kazi. If she doesn't answer a text within a few hours I start sending out HELLO????? ANYBODY THERE????? repeatedly. It doesn't usually take too long after that. HOWEVER, if I don't respond to her texts within .005 of a second all hell breaks lose!!

Lol nice to know we are not the only family who is completely nuts.
We can't wait for kids to leave and when they do we want them back!

Jane-Anna does the same thing when I don't answer right away!!!! It's like we aren't supposed to have a life or something. Bless their little hearts.

livecheaperdaybyday-Thank you for not saying that we were terrible people. I post such crazy things that I wonder how people don't call me names for being a bad parent. ;p

Is Den doing yoga? Favorite Young Man lives two minutes away and sometimes I don't see him for a couple of weeks. It's worse with The Hurricane. She lives far away and travels a great deal. Sometimes I don't know what country she's in. I am not and have never been the mom of the year.

Love,
Janie

Love that you text your kids sick pictures :) I guess I have to pretend to be a step-parent again as my stepdaughter is moving in this weekend. Wish me luck. Life it is a changing!

Pre-cell days, my daughter would come home from an afternoon and part of the evening at the bsrn with her horses. Her daughter, in the AF, would have called her a dozen times with ever-increasing furious voice messages, asking WHERE she was and why did she not answer. My sister said that she had spent the last 20 years, sitting at home every night, waiting for her daughter to grow up, then to come home from being out. "NOW, she is on her own, and I am supposed to sit home and wait for her to call me?"

My daughter was very discouraged that her son went to school and never answered her calls or texts, so she got his father involved. He called, very irritated, asking her what she wanted.

Welcome back!!! and LOVE the pictures! lol!
We had told our kids that the only way they even GET a cell phone is that they have to answer whenever we call. Unless of course they're dead in a ditch... Or unless they call back right after they've saved the child from the burning building.
There have been times too when you have to wonder if they're dead or just ignoring you.

That is a mighty offended expression in the second photo, never mind your boy! If cats could sue....

Janie Junebug-LOL, I don't think there is enough money in the world to get Den to do yoga. Well, maybe if we paid him with beer.
Why do they put us though the worry?

Cheapchick-Good luck and I'm sure that everything will be fine just don't walk around naked unless you want her to leave.

Linda-Ahh how things change when it is happening to them!

Hmmm... I must be a bad mom. I rarely hear from my kids. I just check on Facebook to see if they are still alive. LOL! Maybe that is why I don't hear from them more....I stalk them on FB.
