Scrubbing

I'm on a tea kick lately. Maybe it is the cold weather or maybe its cuz I'm trying be a grownup. Who knows? But I'm in love with orange tea. Its a bit of an addictive relationship, I must say.
All of my mugs/tea cups are being stained brown, scrubbing and dish soap and a run through the dishwasher aren't helping either. Then I found it! A little windex and a scrubby and VOILA, all clean. Mind you, I run it through the dishwasher after the scrub just to make sure the windex is gone. Be careful if it is a delicate cup but if it was glazed properly, it should be just fine. Test it in a small spot before scrubbing the entire cup. It did no damage to my cups at all but again with everything that I post, continue at your own risk!
Now for the real question, do you think this will work on my teeth? Tea seems to stain everything.
Ammonia mouth,
Sonya Ann

OOOO!
You have to try that Good Earth "Sweet & Spicy" tea McVal turned me onto. They sell it at Walmart.
Mmmmmm....doesn't need sweetener or cream.

Orange tea sound like I could drink that. Maybe vinegar would work on your beautiful tea cup.

I wouldn't put in your mouth but I hear windex is great for acne (remember Big Fat Greek Wedding?). I drink Twinings Earl grey every day but use a gigantic mug that fits 2 cups and it is dark so I can't see any stains lol

Wouldn't hurt! Unless you swallowed it...
Oh yeah! Try Good Earth Sweet & Spicy!!!

Denture cleaning tablets dropped in a tea cup work too.
As a tea-aholic, my preferred cups were often a grotty colour until I discovered that tip. Mind you, I more often have Windex around - thank you.

I would probably not use Windex in my mouth, but I am pretty sure I have inhaled it when I spray tall windows.

I'm a coffee drinker and have the same type issues. I use barkeepers friend and a little elbow grease and it works fine for me. ( I do have a friend who brushes her teeth once a month with barkeepers friend !?!)

I love tea and I love this set!!! To help the stain on teeth drink through a straw...a tip from my friend who's a dental hygienist :-)

Have a great weekend!

My dental hygienist asked me 3 times if I smoked last time I was in. NO NO and NO! It's the TEA!! I just don't know if I could drink tea using a straw though so I just brush my teeth a LOT!! I use black cups - I swear there's no stains ;)

sluggy-I'll have to try it. I need something that doesn't need sugar.

Practical Parsimony-I'm on such a tea kick. Wonder if I'm English? I am a bit. My grandfather traced us back to the Mayflower. Rejects from the start.

Cheapchick-I'm not spraying my face or my mouth, probably.

McVal-Now just remind me to write it on the grocery list. I won't remember it until I get home.

Elephant's child-I've got denture tabs, I'll try that. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with cup probs.

Anne in the kitchen-We are not a healthy bunch. LOL. I've probably inhaled it too. And I'm not brushing my teeth with barkeepers. LOL

Jill-I've tried that before and I felt like I wasn't tasting anything. DO you have that problem? Maybe its just me, my odd.

Jane-I always thought that they could tell the difference between tea and cigs. I guess a stain is a stain.
I guess I just need to buy new black mugs. That would solve my problem.
