They are super cute but I think I will continue buying mine from the dollar store.

Very cute, but yup...dollar store is way easier. I actually use the Sunday comics for wrapping paper, but this now makes me realize that maps and music paper would be good for wrapping small gifts too.

In a pinch, this would be a great idea for those odd shaped gifts when you don't want to make another stop. I reuse and reuse gift bags, and so does everyone I know I gift to, so the dollar store versions are economical, but I like this idea very much and think a comics themed gift bag would be very fun-perhaps doubled for added strength.

If I ever use my current stash of gift bags, I will make them instead of buying. I reuse them and the " rule" in my family is if someone gives you something in a gift bag, you save it and give it back at another gift giving occasion. The only time I actually lose one is when I give a friend a gift. Maybe if I had more friends I would get rid of more bags.

I am so not a crafter - but I do recycle all my gift bags. My stepdaughter got the same one 5 Christmases running - she instantly knew what gift was hers under the tree. I finally had to throw that one out last year.

Add me to the list of people who use and reuse gift bags. Clever idea though. Very clever.
Somewhere I have some paper I made which I could use...
Thinking, thinking, thinking. And probably procrastinating too.

ND Chic-I think everyone has the same feeling as you about the bags but I thought it was such a good idea.

We are: Clamco-I just want to present my cheap presents in an awesome way. It's all about presentation, right?

SAM-I have a stash of bags that has seen better days but this would be fun to give to people that weren't in the family and wouldn't be giving me my bag back. LOL

Anne in the kitchen-Bahahahaha, so to save money, we all need to have no friends!!! Brilliant!

Cheapchick-I have said that making bags out of material would be the way to go but McVal said that everyone kept the bags so it didn't really help her to recycle.

Elephant's Child-I procrastinate too that is why I post about it but don't do it. Well, most of the time, I don't do it.

Cute!! But I think I've got too many hobbies already...
Just catching up with you woman!!!! How you been?!

McVal-I'm just trying to hold on and we haven't hit August my busy month. We will be trying to supply and ship off DJ. I feel like my life is getting as busy as yours.

After reading all of the comments I'm apparently the odd ball out. I don't often use gift bags (hardly ever) because I love wrapping gifts. But these look really fun!

rivulet-Oh honey, please come to my house say December 20th!!

I wouldn't be lying if I said that I actually do wrap ALL of our Christmas presents. Maybe the desire to wrap all the gifts will fade over the years but so far 13 years of married life (and now up to 8 nieces and nephews) and I'm still at it. I'll gladly make a trip your way to help you wrap gifts this December though, haha :)

rivulet-You might save my marriage. LOL Den and I normally get into a fight over who has to wrap everything. I now serve cocktails while we wrap but he still will only wrap the perfectly square boxes and leaves the rest to me. GRRRRRR!
