Makin' It And Savin' It Sunday

Want to make some extra cash? How about renting out your driveway? I love this idea!!! Jump over to the Penny Hoarder and read "How to make $250 a month renting out your driveway or parking space."
I'm not in an area that anyone would want to rent from me but how about offering to rent to people with RVs? Hey, did I just come up with a new app? Would you rent out space in your yard for a month or so to an RVer?

We live on a cul de sac so parking for house events is difficult so neighbors "borrow" spots from each other. I suppose we could charge the neighbors we don't like. JK. People that live near statefair grounds charge $5and some fit 10 cars in so over the 11 days are making anywhere from $330-$550 for their inconvenience.

I like this idea but nobody would pay to park in our driveway. We could do RV's but the liability isn't worth it to us.

Nobody would pay - unless I unloaded our mini-shed (4 ft x 6 ft) and advertised it as an apartment with no amenities :) Comes with guard dog to poop up the place.

SAM-Our driveway is set up terribly. It's a single and it is squeezed between the house so sometimes, DJ has to park on the front lawn so that his dad can get his car out. Maybe I should charge him. I don't like him sometimes.

ND Chic-I guess no one would pay to park in our drive since they can park on the road. LOL

Cheapchick-We were talking about getting a dog last night and then my bestie brought her dog over and he pooped in the yard and then we rethought it. LOL

Some people in busier parts of our city do rent their driveways. Not sure if it is legal or not, but they do it.
No-one would pay to park in ours. And they would have to dodge the garden rubbish anyway.

That is a great idea!!! Our driveway is tiny, and we're not in any area where people are needing that kind of service, but I can see where it would be profitable for some areas.

Elephant's Child-They would have to leave their keys with me since its a single and I wouldn't be able to get out without moving it. I might take their car for a joy ride.

Kimberly Hutmacher-I'm just looking for any way to make a buck.

If I had an RV in front of my house I'd be stuck here. I wouldn't have room to get my car out. I have a small yard and a narrow driveway.

Love,
Janie

Janie Junebug-I would be stuck too unless I had the keys. OUr driveway is a single and it is on a raised cement driveway so one side drops off and the other side is the house. Its a bitch to shovel, let me tell ya.
