Makin' It And Savin' It Sunday

There are some great ideas over at the Penny Hoarder on how to improve your garage saling skills!
I never thought about mapping out a route to be more efficient. This sounds like something that Den would love. He used to be such a free spirit now he likes to see how many garage sales we can get in, even if I say, need to pee or am in desperate need of food.
What has your favorite find of the season been?
Saving,

I have hardly gone garage saling at all this year - seems like we are always too busy. I did walk thru one yesterday (taking Buddy for a walk) but saw absolutely nothing that I wanted - good thing as I left my money at the house lol. I only have bought 2 garage sale items this year, both at garage sales in the same complex as the garage sale we had at Mom's condo. An antique bottle (I collect them) for $2 and a blue rimmed Mexican glass pitcher for $1 which was a bargain as I love that kind of glass.

When my partner hits the sales - he buys everything. He is a just in case purchaser. Which means we have a LOT of things which are most unlikely to every get used - much less needed.
And is the reason that our spare room is rapidly filling up with more kitchen gadgets he just can't go past, and that there is NO room for in the kitchen. Sigh.

My favorite and only purchase this year is the pump organ that is going to take me forever to repair and even longer to learn how to repair it. What a bargain!

Cheapchick-I think that you are probably better off than I am in the fact that you spent $3. I'm really starting to think that we are collecting too much junk. Well if it fits in the shed then I won't have a problem, if it doesn't then you are going to hear me complaining.

Elephant's Child-Den so hates to get rid of anything. I do like to get rid of things but it seems that all I do now is drag stuff into the house. Well, actually I drag stuff into the yard. So that makes it alright, right?

Anne in the kitchen-I hope you post all about it. I can't imagine even trying to repair it.
