Aggressive Jet Skis

I honestly, don't even know where to start with this one. How can make-up removers be so messed up?
I was poking around at the Dollar store with my MIL and she said how she loved these make-up removers. I use an olive oil/coconut oil mixture to remove my makeup but since I am heading off to Vegas, I figured I would snag a package of these since I have no desire to get olive oil through security at OHare.
Perhaps, I shouldn't be lazy and bring oil instead!
"The fastest and most effective way to clean face and eyes daily. The proprietary formula ensures softness and hydration. VITAMIN E. Protects against external aggressions and premature aging."
What the fuck is going on with our faces? "External aggressions" What is attacking our mugs?
I wanna ride!!!
I love sending these to Anna. Hahaha. She says she has issues but I have no idea why. Do you ever stop over here just to feel better about your own mental stability?

Wicked Wednesday

This is awesome! It is one of the best videos that I have linked too.I now have a plan! If we are ever invaded by another country, we should all do this and take out the enemy. Well, maybe I shouldn't do it. You in?
All in,

Farting Sheets

Ahhhhh, this was the weekend that went on and on. Very, very, very late Thursday night, I had to pick up Bek from the high school. She had a band concert at Disney World. She went on the bus with the students and her parents flew.
She really is a mess.
I forgot how much fun it isn't to sit for a very long time at the high school waiting for a kid. My life is much easier now.
The ducks are back. They are making good use of our pond, errrrrrrrrr, swimming pool.
And we have crocuses!!! Yard work is right around the corner and I am good with it. It was a very easy winter but I will be happy to start farting around in the yard.
We went to the first garage sale of the season on Saturday!! Just another sign of warm things to come. The last time we had to get sheets for our bed, it was over $40! I asked the woman what size it was and she said queen. And like a dummy, I didn't check because I didn't want to be responsible for refolding them. Yes, I am lazy. For $2, I would take her word for it. I promptly came home and found out it was 2 sets of twins. But I'm going to take it as a good sign. I bought the sheets for Anna's bed at a garage sale before we redid her room. So I'm thinking that the sheet gods are saying that DJ's room will get done this year. And doesn't ever young man beg for pink sheets on his bed?
And since we were out and about, we stopped at Jewel to get the free crackers that were loaded to my loyalty card. When I checked out, I got a rebate form for $5 is you bought Henry's Hard Soda. Well, hell I can do that and use the rebate money for Christmas. I had to do it for the sake of Christmas and all. Think of the children!
I think Den just wants all of the glory really. I took the chandelier apart and washed/vacuumed/dusted it and then Den put it back together after I did everything. Everything just has to be about him and getting all of the limelight! ;p
Sunday, we, as in Dennis, Donna, Den and myself all went out for Easter brunch. It was yummy and I didn't have to cook ! Hell, I didn't have to pay either. Can't do much better than that.
We went over to his parents house afterward and just hung out. It was a great day. I love this picture. My FIL said, we needed a selfie stick and Den said, what are you doing with my stick. I don't think he is ever going to be a grownup.
Did you have a great weekend? Are you doing yard work? Do the people around you make naughty jokes?
My stick,

Skinny Bills

I love saving money. I think I might have said this before. I read every money saving book/article/blog I can. I figure if I can glean even one new tip that I haven't tried before its even more money that I will be able to keep. I have done pretty good about getting our bills down. Our mortgage is $1320. Then we have gas/electric $175(we normally don't spent that much a month so I bank the rest). We have our car insurance $310(Anna's part is $160 so its really only $150). Den has his damned gym membership $30. He doesn't use it enough to keep it but God save me if I bring it up. Garbage and water $125(I bank what we don't use). Our cell phone bill is $200 a month. I am almost done paying off the actual cell phone part of it($80/month savings). But I figure as soon as I get it paid off a phone will break. And to be honest, I am the worst one about the phones. I drop mine all of the time and it seems as if I have a glitch and I have to keep uninstalling apps and reinstalling them. Then I figure $200/week for food/gas for the cars/alcohol/anything else. Den gets an allowance every week and I don't figure that into our bills. He takes it when he deposits his check and honestly, it has saved our marriage. We don't fight over money anymore because he isn't hitting the ATM.
So our monthly bills run around $2800/month(and that's the high end of I use the full amount saved on gas/electric. Last month gas/electric was about $100). That isn't too bad for the Chicagoland area. We don't have a home phoneline and we don't have cable or even Netflix so I don't see much more to shave off. If Den did lose his job, then the amount we spent on car gas would go way down. In a pinch, I would be able to get the bills down to $2100ish. Oh and I forgot, we are paying extra every month on the house payment plus we pay bi-weekly.
Do you want to know the number one money saving tip that no one ever writes about? Post your bills on your blog and ask for help. There are some pretty money smart people out there with great ideas and lots of experience.
Are you happy with your budget/bills? Would you post it online?
Skinny budget,

Hoppy Easter

Happy Easter to all the Easter bunnies out there! I hope you have a wonderful day!
And since it wouldn't be a proper holiday if there wasn't liquor, look what I found over at Buzzfeed!! Yes, drunk bunnies. And guess what? They are going on clearance tomorrow!!!!
The real question is, don't chocolate bunnies have holes in their bottoms?

Our 2016 Mission And My Favorite Person!!!!

Didn't I say this would happen? Yup, I said I would fizzle after a few months. I mean I could post about easy things that I have gotten done, like say, bathing and peeing. But I'm pretty sure that is on everyone's to do list. I did manage to Spring Clean quite a bit more. Yeah and that's on the yuck side of life too. The only good thing is I'm on the kitchen which means I have the upstairs done and the downstairs is good enough. There is only so much I can do with our crap laundry room. Oh wait and I paid bills. I bore me.
Here, maybe a cute picture will distract you from my lack of accomplishments. They decided to sort of be friends. It was nice having a dog around for a while but I have to say that it was a refresher course on dogs. I think Den and I will stay dog free for a while. I forgot how tied down you were with a dog. Cats could careless really if you are there or not just as long as there is food. Hmmmm, I'm more like a cat than I realized.
And my person of the day is Treaders from Random Thoughts. Honest to goodness, this is one of the craziest stories EVER! I would have ran and then sobbed and hid from the world and then died of embarrassment. At times, I have believed that I am the only person that terrible and extremely rare things happened too. Not so. Honestly, I would have crawled in a hole but then again, they might have been hiding there too.

Fabulous Good Friday

How much fun is this!?!?!?!?! Easter Jello Shot Eggs. I would be the life of the party on Easter. Directions on how to make this for me are on The Whoot. Personally, I think these eggs would be acceptable for any party!!!
Egging on,

Mo Eyes

I'm making a prediction, this is going to be the next big thing. It's called MoYou. It's nail stamping. My MIL saw these while she was on vacation and bought one for me.
And I'm not getting one cent for this review. Damn it.
You paint with nail polish a design on your wheel. Scrape off the excess and then press/roll your rubbed stamper over it and it picks up the polish.
You then roll the polish onto your nail with the stamper. It took me a few tried to get it right but I have to say it was pretty cool. I think this would be a great gift for a teenager.
Why does my thumb look all wrinkly? Like my comforter in the background? I thought the design looked like a bunch of eyes. Den thought the design looked like a bunch of vaginas. I'm so glad I'm not a male.
Hmmmm, from nail polish to vaginas-you get it all here folks. I'm really tempted to title this post Vagina Paint. Would you like that on your blog roll?
Just help me,
Sonya Ann

Screwed Margarita

Ahhhhh, it was a good weekend! My inlaws came over Friday night for corned beef and cabbage and somehow we mixed an Irish holiday with a little bit of a Mexican holiday and added margaritas to the meal. No one minded especially me.

We also played CLR. Its fun and I won money so go Irish/Mexican drunk Sonya. No, not really on the Irish/Mexican part.

Saturday morning, I staged my normal Spring rebellion and planted "flowers." I really can't wait for warm weather.

Den got to do battle with the damned beam again. Yes, those are 10 inch screws. I thought they were 8 inches, he assured me they were 10.

I can't wait to see if they went through the roof and shingles. I don't know why that pic wanted to lean left. But every time that I moved it, it jumped to the top or erased itself. It can lean left all it wants.;p

And back to normal! Any guessed on how long it will hold this time?
Sunday was a pretty laid back day. I got my buddy, Ozzie back. He will be spending the week with us seeing as his owners are in FL again. LUCKY!!!!
The cat isn't that pleased.
Anything new with you? How's your beam? Have you ever used a 10 inch screw?

Herpes Shoes

I lub my friends. I really do. My bestie had a friend that was getting rid of Coach flip-flops and got them for me.
I had Ugg boots that Anna didn't want(she got them at the second hand store) and gave them to me. I wasn't real jazzed about them either so I gave them to my bestie and she gave them to her daughter.
Our shoes haven't seen a lot of miles but they have seen many closets!
Now I just need to start pestering all of my friends to save their 2 liter pop bottles. We don't drink pop so I need to find people that do!
This looks like too much fun. I think we are going to have to make this happen. Even Den was excited about it. Well, that might be a stretch. He sort of grunted and went on with his life. But I am sure when I have him attach them to the side of the garage, he will be overjoyed.
And this has nothing to do with anything. It just made me laugh REALLY hard. Anna loves the Golden Girls and so does my MIL. Maybe I will get them each one for Christmas. Ummm, the Golden Girls series not herpes.

Makin' It And Savin' It Sunday

I still read every money saving article/tip that I can. Is it an obsession or the smart thing to do?
I read an article at Penny Hoarder about 3 Simple Make-Ahead Breakfasts to Help you Save Money and Get Out the Door. I'm not a breakfast person but I used to keep muffins available at all times when the kids were living here. I would make huge bags of them and the kids would scarf them down at an alarming clip. Anna was a relentless eater back in the day. Most days Anna ate more then Den. Here is the muffins recipe that Anna loved. Hmmmm, I am getting all sentimental here.
What do you do for breakfast? Are you a prepared breakfast person?

Our 2016 Mission and My Favorite Person

YAY, what did I accomplish lately? Bahahahaha! I have put a ton of miles on the van and Den's car. Ok, I'm not going to beat myself up on this one. There was no way that I was going to be able to get much done with everything that is/was going on. I managed to wash a few walls and Spring clean a few things. Doing a bit here and there helps rather than tearing a room apart and exhausting myself. So is that cleaning enlightenment or old age? I've managed to get the grocery/gas bill down a bit. The liquor bill is holding steady, phew. Prices are dropping here and there are a few more deals than normal so my stash is growing. Plus my MIL took us to Costco and I loaded up on knock-off Aleve, Zyrtec, antacids, sleeping pills. I did my research before and knew it was the cheapest I could get it, it should save us about $200 a year. I'm also trying to sort a slight mess with my publisher over my book. The advertising dept thought that I was ducking them. But the book is supposed to be hard cover and a cheaper paperback along with the ebooks and stupid expensive normal paperback. I haven't been contacted about the hardcover and the cheaper paperback(cuz its not done yet!). And then there was a contract argument. Double sigh. But in the end, I realized that it will sort itself or it won't. This is kind of normal stuff so I'm handling fairly well. Hmmmmmm, I did get more than I thought done. Well Hell Sonya-great fucking job.
And my favorite person is Buddy! Hahahaha, I think we all love this dog and his owner, Cheapchick!! Pop over and see what she is up to!!!
Have an awesome weekend!!!
Love ya,
Sonya Ann

Fabulous Friday

I need to make these for my nephews. I-Spy bottles are so cute. And its super easy to make, run over to Meet the Dubiens and check it out. I saw these for sale in the WI Dells last year for $25 each.
Maybe I will make these and give them to the boys when they are leaving. I'm sure their parents would be grateful for some quiet time.
What would be in your bottle?

Sticky Clean

Still Spring cleaning here. Yay, no not really. Does anyone Spring clean anymore? Really, do you?
Ok, so I was cleaning and then I went in the frig and realized that I should have started there. Ewwwww! And being the lazy girl that I am. I sprayed the hell out of it with Windex. Yes sluggy, Windex.
Threw a paper towel on it and left.
And when I went back, it was almost completely gone. A few wipes and we were back to clean. I'm still about the lazy!

And don't waste time spraying and wiping the bottom of all the sticky bottles, hot water and soap then let it soak. Yes, that is all liquor. What did you expect, pickles?
What are your cleaning cheats? And not cleaning at all is not a cheat!
Kinda happy cleaner,
Sonya Ann

Bra driver

Ok, so where did I leave off in all of this madness? Scott was flying in? Right?
I picked DJ and Robert up from Ball State on the 5th and then Scott flew in last Monday for a job interview. Of course since he was here everyone wanted to see him so I snagged him from OHare and then..................
we met my inlaws at Red Lobster for dinner. My MIL is just the sweetest soul. You can actually see it on her face. My face just shows anger and disgust. Hahaha and maybe a drink or two.
So Tuesday whatever day that was, Scott took Den's car and drove it 3.5 hours away for the interview(which he still hasn't heard back from. UGH!) and then he drove to Mattoon to visit his grandmother. He's a doll.
DJ received a few guitar lessons the week that he was home. I'm not quite sure if he is a willing participant or not. He's getting better and you can sort of make out a few songs. Den has never been happier. Well, until I pointed out the fact that the beam on the ceiling is falling again and then he was just mad. How can I be blamed for gravity and shoddy workmanship?
Wednesday, Scott drove back here and then I drove him to the airport in rush hour traffic. Oh joy.

Saturday, I went to a wedding shower for the fiance of the neighbor boy I used to babysit for. Yup, I really am getting old.
We have been neighbors for 20+ years and Anna and Alex have been friends since they were 3 and 5. Anna went to prom with Alex.
I had asked at least 3 times if Lauren(Alex's mom) wanted me to drive her mother since she has cancer and just had surgery. And I said if she wasn't feeling well, I would take her home. Lauren said no. Then I offered her my van so she could get all the decorations and favors in it. Nope not interested. On Friday, she asked if I was still taking her mother to the shower. Sure, give me her address, it's no big deal. And then Saturday morning, she asked if she could have the van. Damn it! The van was muddy inside and out and had no gas. Yes, I would love to run around and clean it. I gassed it up and ran it through the car wash and woke up Den and DJ to help me clean it. Everyone was angry. Whatever, it ended up being a nice shower and the mimosas were free flowing. After the shower, I drove her mother home and then Lauren and her best friend Donna came over and then another neighbor came over and we ended up having a party of sorts. Cool but I was leaving in the morning and had to pack and do laundry. Whatever, it worked.
Sunday, DJ loaded Den's car and we picked up Robert and headed off for Ball State again. I'm so tired I can't even tell you. Den's car is a bit tired too. LOL
I dropped them off at Ball State without incident. And then headed to the hotel and paid a quick visit to the casino. The casino was quite rude and gave me no money.
Monday, I headed home and in my haste I forgot some of my clothes hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Damn it all! My bestie said that someone was probably sniffing my knickers. She makes life more difficult.
This is the exchange that I had with the poor woman working at the hotel when I called.
Me-Sorry, I'm an idiot I left my clothes, I was in room 127. Could you ship them?
Front desk-Sorry, you will have to call management.
Me-Ok thank you. I left a pair of jeans, a black shirt, and a brown sweater.
F.D-I have it right here, its a pair of jeans and a pink shirt.
Me-No, there is no pink shirt. Are you sure it's mine?
F.D.-Let me pull it out.
So I wait.
F.D.-Ohhhhh, that's not a shirt, that's your bra.
Sigh, my bra is as big as a shirt in her eyes.
So I leave you on that note. I'm trying to get caught up and I promise to come visit everyone.
Big big titties,
Sonya Ann

Madness Blast

Pure madness! That is all that I have for you.
Friday morning, I ran around like a nut job to get out the door so I could drive to the IN and the lovely casino and then pick up DJ Saturday morning. But I couldn't leave because Den took the keys with him. Loud and frustrated sigh. He told me to take the spare which was nowhere to be found. He ended up having to take off early and come home with the keys.
So I got on the road and drove straight to BC Osakas for their lovely Chinese buffet. I mean, if I'm going to be miserable, I might as well be miserable with a full belly.
It's 2 hours to get there and honestly, it would be worth a four hour drive round trip just for their food.
GPS says that it is a 4.5 hour drive to Ball State. It lies. It took me 7 hrs to get to Anderson and that is half an hour from DJ. There were two bad accidents and that tacked on a lot of time.
I checked in and hit the casino. I'm really trying to make the misery as enjoyable as I can. The casino didn't like me as much as it did before and I left a loser but I played for hours so I'm ok with it.
Saturday morning, I picked up the boys and headed home. They were both VERY sick and had loaded up on cold pills before we left. It made for a very quiet ride home. I was going to stop for lunch but they slept all the way until we hit Chicago. And honey, I don't stop once we hit Chitown.
The rest of Saturday included a lot of laundry and a nap. Sunday, I rushed around trying to get caught up and ahead.

I live in pure nuttiness. The reason I had to get ahead on Sunday was because Scott(Anna's BF) is flying in today and I have to get him from O'Hare. They have decided to move and Scott has a job interview for a gym teacher/driving instructor about 3.5 hours from us. I hope he gets it but God only knows where they will land next.
So DJ is home and Scott is home. Scott is taking Den's car to the interview and then driving down to see his grandmother then returning here and I will take him to the airport. I swear all I do is drive. I'm going to take a blogging break to drive people around. I will miss you!
How's this for a blast from the past? My MIL text me this pic while I was on the road! Den was 21 and I was 23. I sent the pic to my bestie and she said, "Why are you wearing your Grandmother's clothes?" Hahaha, bitch. We were at Den's Grandfather's funeral. Den saw the pic and said, "When the hell was I a hippy?" We look like babies!
I'll see you in a few days. Enjoy the silence! And trust me, I'm looking forward to getting back to my normal route.
Just a few days,
Sonya Ann
